Elena Volnykh is a private art advisor and founder of HOAF Art Consulting.

Elena has been successfully working with clients worldwide, curating collections of classical and contemporary art for cultural foundations, private and corporate collections.

Equipped with a bachelor's degree in Art History and a master's in Global Art Business from the prestigious Sotheby's Institute of Art, her journey has been characterized by a passionate commitment to promoting cultural exchange and nurturing artistic talent.

Elena regularly attends international art fairs in Basel, Paris, Miami, London, Madrid, as well as major exhibitions including the Venice Biennale, Manifesta, Documenta and others.

 

Since 2021, Elena has assumed the role of Chief Representative at the European Cultural Centre in Spain, undertaking a pivotal role in advocating for art sustainability through globally acclaimed exhibitions. The European Cultural Centre, renowned for its international art and architecture exhibitions, symposia, and diverse cultural initiatives, has had the privilege of collaborations with luminaries like Joseph Kosuth, Yoko Ono, Marina Abramovic, Hermann Nitsch, Lawrence Weiner, Roman Opalka, Nobuyoshi Araki, Arnulf Rainer and many more. Elena's role extends beyond fostering collaborative partnerships to actively engaging in international outreach, aligning seamlessly with the Centre's ethos of fostering global cultural exchange.

At the Real Circulo Artistico, Elena serves as a Professor and Art Collection Management. Her responsibilities include curating the institution's esteemed art collection and lecturing on the intricacies of art history and business. The Real Circulo Artistico, steeped in a legacy of nurturing visual arts and cultural endeavors, boasts associations with revered figures like Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Antonio Gaudi.

 

Elena's extensive expertise encompasses various fields, demonstrated during her time at Solway Investment Group's collaboration with the Salzburg Festival from 2017 to 2021. During this period, she led initiatives supporting opera, theater, and dance programs catering to talented children from diverse countries and involvement further extended to Solway Group's sponsor curator role as the production for "La clemenza di Tito" (directed by Peter Sellars and conducted by Teodor Currentzis) at the Salzburg Festival.

 

Elena's academic and professional milestones are complemented by an extensive educational journey. This includes an array of certifications and degrees from renowned institutions such as the Sotheby's Institute of Art, British Council, and the Higher School of Economics, Moscow.  Elena was awarded a prestigious grant by the Museo del Prado in 2015 to study the intricate works of Hieronymus Bosch. Out of a pool of 300 applicants, she secured one of only 10 positions, standing as the sole foreign participant selected for this esteemed opportunity. Throughout the fellowship, Elena engaged in exclusive closed-door conferences alongside world-renowned specialists in Bosch's art, fostering invaluable connections and gaining insights from the Prado's research team.
